To Blog or Not to Blog?

Post in the comments your opinion as to whether this blog is a good medium for discussing books for elementary school librarians.

This is a great idea. Some discussions are not appropriate for a public listserv and lend themselves to private, specific discussion. Count me in. I am in the process of creating a by-invitation-only blog for my middle schoolers to join me in book discussions. Invitation only keeps out the Internet riff-raff. Blogs are a great tool for communication.

I think it is also a more appropriate tool, and a discussions can grow in many different ways.

I want to create a blog as well and I checked out your school's website. I would love to talk to you more about both of these as I am going to the e-chalk training this week. As for the book discussions, this is a great idea, count me in!

Thanks for setting this up Ben. I too will participate in the discussion and am interested in learning how blogging really works. Perhaps then I'll be able to incorporate it into my class instruction. Looking forward to getting it going...

Any questions for me that are not connected to the blog can be emailed to me. I'm happy to help with echalk, etc, but email me directly.

In a related note, if you have a school website that you would like me to link to, post it in the comments or email me, and I will add it to the sidebar!
