I like how Choldenko establishes a unique voice for Moose right away.
I think the language that Moose uses appeals to students and also gives them a model to emulate in their writing.
I also like her chapter titles; I find that asking students to explain why an author chooses a specific title for a chapter forces them to use higher order thinking as students must make explanations rather than just summarize the chapter.
What did you like or dislike about the opening of the book?
